Welcome to my site…

Selin Sakarcan is a podiatric physician, foot and ankle surgeon, and medical resident.  She served as the Student Body President at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine while being a House Delegate of the American Podiatric Medical Student Association. She was recently accepted to the Harvard Macy Institute for the 2020 Program for Postgraduate Trainees: Future Academic Clinician Educators.

Born in Dallas, Texas, Selin Sakarcan spent a majority of her childhood in the South, between Texas, Louisiana, and South Carolina. She moved to Philadelphia and lived there for 10 years before moving to New Haven, Connecticut, for her residency.

Growing up, Selin Sakarcan was influenced by Turkish culture. She grew up speaking both Turkish and English at home.  In school, she learned French, which inspired her to take it as a major in college.  Aside from languages, she was also into physical activities such as tennis, lacrosse, dance, gymnastics, and swimming. She was part of the state champions team for tennis at her alma mater, Harrington High School.
